Always able to rise to the challenge at major championships winning the Super G Olympics in 2010 and in 2013 he regained his world downhill title 6 years after his first. Super G has been his most successful event but his two Overall World Cup crowns reflects his worth as a true all-rounder. Injury prevented him from competing in 2015. The following year he won 5 World Cup races but injury once again ruined the 2017 season. At the age of 35 he had an excellent campaign culminating in an Olympic downhill title.
