Cycling Career Highlights
Bradley Wiggins, Great Britain Born : 1980 in Ghent, Belgium. Wiggins along with Mark Cavendish had been in the forefront of  British cycling success. He has transformed himself from a multi gold medallist at track pursuit into a premier professional road racer. 2012 was his annus mirabilis. Victories in classic stage races were a prelude to his historic victory in the Tour de France. A week later he secured a gold medal in the Time Trial at the London Olympics. The following year was a let down with illness blighting the season. Unable to regain form on the road, he completed a career swansong by breaking the World 1 hour record. At the age of 36 he reurned to the track winning a 5th gold medal at Rio becoming the greatest ever British Olympian.
