Janica Kostelic, Croatia Born 1982 in Zagreg, Yugoslavia. The hard charging Croatian has dominated Slalom and Giant Slalom in recent years until severe injury. Won 8 out of 9 Slaloms in 2001. Triple Gold Medal winner at the 2002 Olympics and winner of 2 Overall World Cup Titles. 2005 saw her return to her best winning 3 World Titles. She continued her Olympic success in 2006 by retaining her Combined title. The 2006 World Cup season confirmed her new status as an all-rounder with victories in all 4 disciplines and Overall and Slalom titles.
