Swimming Career Highlights
Brendan Hansen, USA Born : 1981 in Havertown, Pennsylvania. Current World Record holder in 100 and 200 metres breaststroke. His battles with Kosuke Kitajima have enlivened breaststroke swimming recently . After disappointment at the Athens Olympics he regained his position as No1 by winning both events at the 2005 World Championships. In 2006 he lowered his own 100 metres and 200 metres World Records. In the Beijing Olympics he failed to mount a serious challenge to Kitajima.
